Stavební deník is a tool for keeping your own construction diary — for self-builders and for people renovating their own home. By using it you agree to what is written below. It is written to be read.

The Czech version at /podminky.html is the authoritative one; this translation is for convenience.

1. The content of the diary is your responsibility

The application stores and prints what you write into it. The builder — you — is responsible for the correctness, completeness and timeliness of the record, not the provider. We do not check whether an entry is true, whether you skipped a day, or whether the points you filled in match what happened on site.

2. This is not a legal service

The application can export a document carrying the particulars of annex 12 of Czech decree 131/2024 Sb. That does not mean the output will hold up in your situation. We are neither a law firm nor a chartered engineer, and the output does not replace professional assessment. If your diary needs legal standing with a specific authority, bank or insurer, have it checked by someone who is answerable for such an assessment.

The scope of the "simple construction record" in the application is a product decision, not a legal reading of the decree: it keeps five of the ten daily points, because the rest are written for a contractor with a crew. Anyone who needs all ten switches the build to the full diary mode.

3. Writing after the fact is allowed, and visible

You choose the date an entry belongs to, including in the past. The moment the entry was actually created is recorded by the server and cannot be changed. When the two differ, the application and the export both show it. This cannot be switched off, deliberately — a document quietly pretending when it came into being would help nobody.

4. Keeping the documentation is up to you

For some buildings the decree requires the documentation to be kept for ten years after completion. The application gives you no guarantee towards that: we do not promise to exist in ten years, nor that the data will be available unchanged.

So: when the build is finished, export the diary to PDF and keep it outside the application — and do it along the way too. The export exists so the record can outlive us. Before an account is deleted we will let you export the data.

5. The service is provided as it is

The application is free for now and provided with no availability guarantee. We may change, limit or discontinue it; if we are discontinuing it, we will say so far enough in advance for you to take your data. We are not liable for damage caused by unavailability, by loss of data or by an error in the data — that is the price of a tool that costs nothing, and the reason section 4 matters.

The free plan's limits (3 builds, 2 GB, 25 MB per file, 3 people per build) may change.

6. Your data

• The content of the diary is yours. We do not read it, do not train anything on it and do not pass it to anyone else.
• You can invite other people to a build. Whoever is invited sees its content, including photographs and the e-mail addresses of the other members — so invite only people you are comfortable with.
• Data is stored in the European Union (Google Cloud, region europe-west1).
• Sign-in is through Google. We take your e-mail address and name, nothing else.

7. What not to do

• Do not upload anything you have no rights to, or anything unlawful.
• Do not use it as storage unrelated to a build — the limits are sized for a diary, not an archive.
• Do not work around the limits or try to reach other accounts' data.

8. Changes to these terms

When these terms change we will put a new date of effect on them. Material changes will be announced in the application.
